Biography

Although possibly related to a family of Colshulls holding land near Hampstead Norris,2 Berkshire, Colshull appears to have had neither ancestors nor descendants in Reading itself. However, he certainly lived there from before 1410, and between 1413 and 1419 rented a large house from the corporation. He attended the local elections to the Parliament of 1413 (May).3
