Biography

In Michaelmas term 1422, when representing Chippenham in Parliament, Ludwell was associated with Nicholas Wotton, the MP for Marlborough, as an attorney in the court of King’s bench for the executors of Robert Hallam, late bishop of Salisbury. In Hilary term 1424 he was listed among the Dorset attorneys practising in the same court, at Easter 1425 with the Wiltshire attorneys, and in Hilary 1428 and Trinity 1430 with those of Somerset.
