Warrener of Warwick (by appointment of Richard, earl of Warwick) by Mich. 1417-aft. 1426.

Biography

Usk was appointed warrener of Warwick (with an annual wage of 35s.5d.), three years or more before his only known return to Parliament. He owed the post to the lord of the borough, Earl Richard. In 1426 he was admitted to the guild of the Holy Cross at Stratford without paying an entry fee, after agreeing to supply the fraternity with eight pairs of rabbits every year.
