Biography

In August 1408 John and Thomas Walsh II*, both described as resident in Sussex, were sureties in Chancery for Thomas atte Wrethe and his son, who were being sued for trespass. It is possible the MP for Midhurst was the same as John ‘Waleys’, an attorney who took up many briefs at the assizes held in Sussex during Henry IV’s reign and down to 1415.
