Biography
Cuninghame came of an old family, founded by a younger son of the 1st Earl of Glencairn, to whom Craigends was given in 1479. Returned on the Glencairn interest for Renfrewshire in 1734 as an opposition Whig, he voted consistently against the Administration till his death, 1 Sept. 1742.
