Biography

The Griffiths were one of a group of Tory families who controlled the representation of Caernarvonshire at the beginning of the 18th century. William Griffith, who had allied himself with the local Whigs in 1713, was still regarded as a Tory in 1715, when he was again returned for the county, dying a month later, 10 Mar.
