Biography

Returned on petition as a Whig in 1730, Lloyd was re-elected in 1734, when he exerted himself both in the boroughs and the county on behalf of the Government.1 He voted with the Administration in every recorded division except that on the repeal of the Septennial Act, when he voted against them. Defeated in 1741, he petitioned repeatedly, his petition being finally dismissed by the House on 23 Jan. 1746. He died 16 July 1757.
