Biography

Seymour was returned for Antrim where his uncle, the 2nd Marquess of Hertford, possessed a powerful electoral interest and silently supported government. Considered ‘one of the finest looking men in his Majesty’s service’, he died 2 Dec. 1821, reported never to have recovered from the Walcheren fever.
