Unless this Member is to be identified with John Cherleton ‘of Wiltshire’, who in April 1403 stood surety for Geoffrey Fowler of Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, then accused of leaving the service of Sir Thomas Aylesbury* prematurely, nothing else is known of him.
