Biography
Roger Chaunce belonged to a family with considerable influence in the borough of Reigate, but despite his five returns to Parliament nothing else seems to be known about him except that in August 1378 he witnessed a local deed, and that two years later John Chaunce I* stood surety for his attendance as an MP at Westminster.
