Biography
The Skinners were an established Reigate family, three of whose members had already represented the borough in Parliament by the time of John’s first election in 1395. Nothing is known about the rest of his career, although it was probably not he but another kinsman of the same name—perhaps even his son—who sat for Reigate at the end of our period.
W. Hooper, Reigate, 115-16.
