Biography
Stubbere is recorded in February 1433 as master of a small vessel which docked at Portsmouth with a cargo of canvas. At the parliamentary elections held at Portsmouth in 1437 he provided securities for the attendance of one of the burgesses-elect, Richard Abraham. Many years later, in 1469, a building in the town was said to have ‘lately’ belonged to him.
