b. ?1714, o.s. of William Ashe of Ormond St., London. educ. ?Eton 1728; M. Temple 1732; Wadham, Oxf. 6 Aug. 1734, aged 20. m. 4 Feb. 1749, Lady Catherine Powlett, da. of Henry Powlett, 4th Duke of Bolton, s.p. suc. fa. bef. Jan. 1732 and to Heytesbury estates of uncle Edward Ashe 1748.
William Ashe was brought in as a Whig at Heytesbury by his uncle Edward, to whose estates he succeeded, thereby gaining complete political control of the borough. He died 11 Aug. 1750.
