Biography
Molesworth was returned as a Tory for Newport on the interest of his brother-in-law, Sir William Morice. He did not stand in 1741 but in 1744 he succeeded his wife’s brother-in-law, Sir John St. Aubyn, 3rd Bt., as knight of the shire for Cornwall, voting consistently against the Walpole-Pelham Governments.
He died on 4 Apr. 1766.
