Biography
No speech or vote by Montagu in Parliament is recorded, but he presumably voted with Government. Sandwich, in a letter to George Wombwell, 19 Oct. 1770,1 while reserving for William Augustus ‘preference of any bargain I make with another’ should a vacancy occur at Huntingdon after he had come of age, remarked that his son ‘though very young is not immortal’; which suggests ill-health even then. He died at Lisbon 14 Jan. 1776.
