Biography

Cocks was returned on the family interest for Reigate in 1818 when his elder brother John transferred to a seat for Hereford. His only known votes in the ensuing Parliament were with government on the case of Wyndham Quin*, 29 Mar., against Tierney’s censure motion, 18 May, and for the foreign enlistment bill, 10 June 1819. He died 5 July 1856.
