Biography

Probably a relation of John Frys, bailiff of Marlborough some time before 1385, and of Robert Frys, who was to be bailiff in 1425, Richard himself worked there as a weaver. He paid the small sum of 6d. to the town’s levy of the general poll tax of 1379.
