b. 7 Jan. 1740, 1st s. of Edward Lascelles, collector of customs in Barbados, by Frances, da. of Guy Ball, member of the council of Barbados; 1st cos. of Edwin and Daniel Lascelles. m. 12 May 1761, Anne, da. of William Chaloner of Guisborough, Yorks., 2s. 2da. suc. fa. 1747, and his cos. Edwin 1795; cr. Baron Harewood 18 June 1796, Earl of Harewood 7 Sept. 1812.
Cornet, Royal Horse Gds. 1756; capt. 18 Drag. 1759; ret. 1761.
Edward Lascelles followed the political lead of his cousin Edwin, never once voting against him. He appears to have been of little consequence in the House, and never to have spoken there. When the second seat at Northallerton reverted to the Peirse family, Edward retired from Parliament. He re-entered the House when his cousin became a peer.
He died 3 Apr. 1820.
